LightDocs is a PDF & photo compression/conversion app designed to run locally on your device. This policy explains what data is processed, what is not, and the role of ads.
1. Controller
PikScan (publisher of LightDocs). Contact: support@pikscan.com. Website: lightdocs.pikscan.com.
2. No account, no PikScan cloud
- LightDocs does not create a PikScan user account.
- Your processed files and history stay on your phone.
- PikScan does not receive your document contents and does not run a sync cloud for LightDocs.
3. On-device data
On your device only, the app may store temporary files, compression/conversion results, metadata (names, sizes, dates, favorites), and preferences (language, optional biometric lock). Processing happens locally.
4. Permissions
- Photos / files: to pick and save PDFs or images.
- Storage: to read/write files as required by the OS.
- Biometrics (optional): if you enable app lock.
- Internet: for AdMob ads, Premium purchases (iOS), and optional version checks.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
LightDocs is free and funded by Google AdMob (banners, interstitials, rewarded videos for some options). Google may process advertising IDs and technical data under its own policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Purchases (Premium iOS)
On iOS, a one-time Premium purchase may be offered via the App Store / RevenueCat. Payment data is handled by Apple.
7. App updates
The app may fetch a public version JSON on lightdocs.pikscan.com. That request does not include your file contents.
8. Sharing you initiate
When you share a PDF or image, the file leaves the app through the system share sheet under your control.
9. Retention
Local data remains until you delete it in-app or uninstall LightDocs.
10. Children
The app is not directed at children under 16 (or the applicable local digital age).
11. Your rights
Contact support@pikscan.com for questions. Document access/deletion mainly applies to data on your device and ad treatments managed by Google.
12. Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top applies.
