1. Install LightDocs
Download LightDocs from Google Play or the App Store, open the app, and grant file access if the system asks. No PikScan account is required.
2. Compress a PDF or photo
From Tools or Recents, choose Compress, pick a PDF or photo, then select a preset:
- WhatsApp - for messaging apps
- Email - for mail attachments
- Max - stronger compression
LightDocs shows before and after sizes. Confirm to save the compressed file to Recents.
3. Convert or merge files
In Tools:
- Convert - JPG/PNG to PDF, or PDF pages to images
- Merge - combine multiple PDFs in order
- Split - extract or remove pages
- Crop - adjust a photo before compression
All operations are processed locally on the device.
4. Read and annotate a PDF
Open a PDF from Recents or Favorites. The native reader offers fullscreen view, zoom, text search, and annotation. Star a file to pin it in Favorites for quick access.
5. Share the file
From the preview or reader, tap Share to send the PDF or photo via WhatsApp, email, or any installed app. The shared file is the one processed on your phone - LightDocs does not upload it to our servers first.
