Many “PDF compressor” tools upload your file to their servers first. LightDocs compresses PDFs and photos on the device itself - processing does not require sending the document to PikScan.
Compression presets
LightDocs offers three presets for common sharing scenarios:
- WhatsApp - targets a size suitable for messaging apps
- Email - balances quality and weight for mail attachments
- Max - stronger compression when size matters most
Before you confirm, the app shows before and after file sizes so you can compare the result.
Photos and cropping
You can also compress JPG/PNG photos. A built-in crop tool lets you trim unnecessary edges before compression, further reducing the final size.
Offline and privacy
Once installed, compression works without an account and without mandatory cloud storage. Files stay on your phone - useful for sensitive documents (invoices, contracts, scanned IDs).
